I was rotating tires over the weekend and learned that my '96 unicorn Master CX and my '03 Hot Tubes both will take 40mm tires. I had never ridden anything larger than 32s on them, but of course the last time I put tires on those bikes I was still using Clement Criterium Seta as the gold standard for tire width.
So are these vintage cyclocross bikes now officially "endurance" road bikes?
