Well, I say just go with what you like that gives you the look and feel you want.
I've got several older steel frames running medium depth silver rims and like it. Deeper than your old classic box rims.
I've got Zonda's on the Fishlips now but originally had these on it.
I'm working on this old beauty and would love to score some old 8 Speed silver Shamal's for it.
