This is the part that feels like bad business to me. I know he is not the first to defer salary for the sake of the team's salary cap, and I'm also aware that he is still able to buy what he wants in general, but I seem to recall other players getting at least some of that value back from their organizations. It's not like the Patriots were lacking for time to get this done.
