As do I. Mine has a January ‘98 stamp on the steerer tube. Before the MX was released, I had ordered a ti frame from Waltly, with geometry based on my Hakkalugi but with clearance for 700c x 50 and frame couplers. It shipped today (yay). When the MX appeared, I used the frame comparator spreadsheet that’s been floating around and compared the MX to the OG: basically they cloned it and put in a taller head tube. My version is essentially the same but with a 1cm shorter ett. When I plugged the MX and my design into the spreadsheet they were identical except for toptube length. So, in essence, I have a ti MX on the way, totally by coincidence.

If the MX is as sweet on flowy singletrack as the ‘98, it’ll be amazing. I can’t wait for mine to show up. I’m sure it will ride beautifully regardless of the brake mounting type (post).

I’m an Ibis fan, but my experience with them is with my Hakka and my ‘98 Spanky. As said elsewhere, Scot Nichol is great and has excellent customer service.
