I've got one. I just kept it stock and put the Silca threaded presta adapter in it. seems to have a solid enough seal. and it's nice because you can remove it easily to use on car tires or whatever. mine reads a couple PSI under what my Topeak gauge does, but if you're using only it for airing up your CX tires, you'll never notice really.

they're unfortunately hard to find these days. Ryobi make a similar one that has an analog gauge which is much cheaper at around $30 (without battery). not as accurate with the analog gauge, but I suspect one would get used to it and get along just fine.
