+1 on the lezyne. Tested it in the garage, and the valve allowed a small amount of inflation to prevent pinching the new tube. Inflated after to what seemed like the right pressure, using the crude thumb squeeze test.

A week later there was still co2 in the cylinder, so it sealed pretty well. I don't know that I would take a partially-used co2 cylinder on a long ride, but my experience was that the valve sealed well.
