No he didn't. But he also didn't seem super motivated by the looks of it to chase down a friend and old teammate. He was busy keeping an eye on Kwaikowksi, trying to stay in position if they made the catch.
Nibali was a bit of a sleeper and played his hand well. Was glad to see him make it stick.
