Love the looks of the Hakka MX...especially that vivid red version. The Hakka MX and the Norco Search XR were the two at the top of my list. Other than looks, feature for feature, as well as tire clearance, they are nearly identical. Frame only price is the same as well. For stock build options however the Norco is equipped with better options in my opinion. Unless things have changed, with the Ibis you could go with a Rival 1x bike and after that you had to step up to an Ultegra Di2 build with carbon rims for about 2K more. No Force 1x build offerred. Given how popular that group is right now, and given that so many other competing bikes come with that group at competitive prices, it seems crazy that Ibis wasn’t offering a Force 1X build or at least a non Di2 Ultegra build. Maybe that’s changed...
It’s nice that there are finally some more budget friendly alternatives to the Open U.P. and 3T Exploro (for someone looking for a similar frame w/ similar features & clearance)
