There absolutely is. 11s Road cassettes are taller than an 11s mtb cassette and will
NOT fit on a 9/10/11s mtb shimano freehub.
If you're looking for something to use for a disc cx bike, this makes things a pain. I dont think there are any 11-32 or 11-36 11s 'mtb' cassettes - would be nice if there was.
