I will start with the caveat at my personal view is that fitness on the bike is important because it lets you enjoy the fun ride to more, not a goal unto itself. With that said, I always roll my eyes a bit on the episodes where they're giving people advice and it essentially amounts to have less fun out on your bike so you can stick to the plan better. It seems like they get a lot of questions from people who are trying to use trainer road to supplement their outdoor riding, and their answer is that their outdoor riding is sabotaging their trainer road time.

I do tend to enjoy their episodes that are largely interviews with some of their affiliated athletes. But yeah, I think at this point Nate has no interest in cycling, so it's weird that he's still pops up on the podcast.
