Me too. 9 years on the competitive circuit in HS and College. Also on the east coast and just a bit older than you are. Wonder if we ever raced against one another. I could "switch hit" reasonably well - my HS team broke down into small sculling boats over the summer for the club regattas and Canadian Henley which helped keep my muscle development balanced but preferred port if given the option when sweeping.
