Yes, I was able to get a Shimano CS-HG800 11 speed cassette 11-34 on a nearly 20 year old 10 speed Chris king Classic hub with no issues other than filing down some of the "bite" marks on the hub and forgetting to remove a spacer.
It sits perfectly on the hub and the derailleur has clearance to the spokes.
