EDC has risks.. carry a bunch of stuff you don't need and if you get so used to carrying it that it's automatic you are prone to making donations of fancy stuff to TSA or other security forces.
I think if you really need something insanely bright the marine industry has plenty of insanely bright lights at decent costs. Super bright lights is a required tool for night time boating.
That said we have a really nice machined LED flashlight.. not any fancy brand but it's definitely appreciated and it's so wonderful how long the batteries last in these modern LEDs.
