I’ve owned a Team SC since new in 2004. It remains one of my all time favorite bikes and still gets a lot of miles. I have no problems with 28mm tires measured true (Corsas). Some have loose headset issues as noted. I’ve been lucky there. Rode my first D2R2 in 2006 on it (only the 100k) before I knew how rough the roads might be. Worked great actually and we rolled in at 4hr40min total time including a quick espresso at Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters as we were flagging a bit, so not too shabby.
For the right price I’d snap it up, put on a nice 11spd rim brake group and let it rip. It’s a mash-up of parts now from over the last 20yrs. In current state:
