Are you saying the head is stripped or the threads themselves?

As long as you can get the clip in, it shouldn't be an issue. It doesn't hold anything together, it's just a guide pin for the pads. The torque spec is < 1 Nm iirc.

Indeed, I can get the clip in and the brake works flawlessly. So I think I’m not going to bother replacing it. Thanks for validating my intuition!
