Lol, I picked up a used DS in excellent condition and ran into the same dilemma! I have etap on my Trek Madone and love it. But for me it came down to money. An etap “group” (shifters, FD and RD) was $1300; in contrast I got the same Chorus component for under $500. Further, got a good deal on a SR crankset, so Campy it is!
Of course, YMMV!
