That's not correct. The cassette stack height for 11s mountain and 11s road is the same. What makes a an 11s mountain cassette fit on a 10s road freehub body is the fact that the carrier of the large cogs enables the largest cog to sit OVER the hub flange. Essentially, you are moving the cassette further to the center line of the wheel than an 11s road cassette is able to sit.
