A great thread. I agree that almost any bike with adequate clearance will do. That's part of the fun. Here are mine that have seen gravel grinder duty. Oh, and I just built up a Surly CC (I like Surly bikes) as my GG SS.

1989 Haro Extreme SS



1988 Fisher Procaliber



1991 Bridgestone RB-T with 38mm tires.



1994 Russian Ti frame made from old MIGs and Subs on SRP Canal Trail.



2000 Litespeed Appalachian with 38's.



1989 Trek 660 Single Speed with CX Tires



1990 Cannondale ST-600. This bike has great GG potential.
