New Twin Six Ti Rando XC

Email just came through on the new offering from TwinSix. Checks a lot boxes for not a lot money...

Edit: Realized that is the frame only pricing and a Whisky fork adds $500 to the mix. Still decent for ti.

Always loved what TwinSix has done with apparrel but am still confused by their bike offering. Is this a CX bike? A do it alll bike? How is it different from their other Ti Rando offerings?

I didn't study the geometry at length to see if it's more XC or gravel/all-road.

I noticed they finally went to thru axle and this one has fairly wide tire clearance at 700x45mm.

Comparing geo charts, this looks like the Rando, but with a 5mm higher BB and clearance for 27.5" MTB tires. I can't imagine they'll keep making this, the Ti Rando, AND the Ti CX.

If this bike allowed a double I'd be seriously tempted but that seems to be the tradeoff to fit big 650s. The last Ti Rando that does allow it has too low of a BB for me to run 'road' size 650s without feeling sketchy and this improves the geo a bit for that.

All of their bikes are PF30. I own one and it doesn't make any noise. I've never had issues with my bb/pf30 bikes making noises.

I do understand why people might have issues, but even a threaded outboard bb is essentially a pressfit bb (done by the manufacturer).

My Standard Fat has a threaded BB.
