PSA ( Could be a great gravel crusher) Davidson Custom Titanium disc brake road bike
1 Attachment(s)
Davidson Custom Titanium disc brake road bike with Rohloff internally geared hub and Gates Center Track belt drive. Top Tube (horiz) length is 57.5cm. The geometry is close to what most manufacturers would consider a 57cm or 58cm (center BB to top of TT). This bike is setup for and entirely suitable for a world tour as it sits right now. With the Rohloff hub and Gates belt drive, there is virtually no maintenance to worry about. The build components are as follows: Davidson Titanium Road Bike - Rohloff Hub / Belt Drive - $3150

If you wish to purchase these items as a lot separately, I will sell at ~50% of retail or an additional $725 - Dynamo Hub Front Wheel: Mavic A719 36h rim, Schmidt Son 28 36h Dynamo Hub / Black, DT Swiss Comp 2.0/1.8/2.0 spokes - Dynamo Charger: Busch & Müller E-Werk (variable voltage, variable amperage) - Dynamo Tail Light: Supernova E3 - Rear Rack: Tubus Cosmo Stainless Steel - Front Rack: Tubus Nova Stainless Steel - Front Panniers: Ortlieb Sport Packer Classic - Rear Panniers: Ortlieb Back Roller - Saddlebag: Carradice Barley / Green - Saddlebag Support Frame: Bagman Support - Expedition The frame and all the components are in excellent condition and functioning perfectly. The eccentric bottom bracket is the pinch bolt design. There are three pinch bolts used to tighten the eccentric bottom bracket. Quite a while back I over torqued the center of these three bolts and snapped it off. Since then I have just used the two outer bolts to tighten eccentric bottom bracket and have had no issues whatsoever. The bottom bracket has never moved or slipped even once. I’m sure any frame builder or machine shop could easily drill out and retap the center bolt if you wanted to do so. I’ve never bothered since it functions 100% using two bolts in lieu of three. Additional geometry info: STA 73.0 HTA 72.5 ST c-t 56.5 TT horiz 57.5 HT 150 BB Drop 78 Chain Stay 450 Wheelbase 1045 Trail 63 Standover 825 Titanium frame, internally geared hub and belt drive! This is an awesome bike with little to no maintenance required and an absolute pleasure to ride. It handles incredibly well, even heavily loaded. The frame was built with cable stops and comes with a spare derailleur hanger so you could convert to conventional derailleur drivetrain if you ever wanted to do so. It could easily be converted to a flat bar bike also as the original Rohloff shifters come with it as well |
psa in red italian red a Colnago Arabesque - 1984 original - $6000 (Redmond)
Colnago Arabesque - 1984 original - $6000 (Redmond)
This very rare vintage collectable is offered for sale at $6,000 or best offer. The Arabesque was made for a year or two in about 1984, at the top of the Conlago line. Just last year a few of the original ornate lugs were found in a box at the factory, and the Arabesque has returned in extremely limited numbers, which make an original even more valuable. A new frame now sells for $4,000. Here we have an original Colnago Arabesque in very nice original unrestored condition with all the original Campagnolo pantographed parts. It also has the treasured Concor saddle and Clement silk tires. This is the find of a life time. I've owned the bike for 30 years and ride it less than 100 miles a year. Size 45 Colnago Master shoes are available separately. Wonder if the high-bid backed out. Other than the cranks being beat up, it looks like there is some pretty bad heel rub on the chainstay. Besides that, quite a good deal for the TOTL Moots gravel race rig (ie., reasonable width tires). https://www.ebay.com/itm/Moots-Routt...-/173925199285 |

ebay needs to clean that up, maybe an automatic fee for winnng bidders who back out. |
I have a theory about that:
Seller posts item with a high BiN and auction option, but gets no bids, perhaps because there's so little previous sale price history to give potential buyers an idea of what the market price is. Seller has shill bidder bid for the bike at an elevated price and then 'back out'. I believe in that situation the final value fee (which is the big one) to eBay is canceled. Seller then relists the item in the same manner. Now, when someone does a little research to find out what market price is, the first canceled sale shows up under sold/completed auctions but does not indicate that the buyer backed out. So there would be something to reassure the potential buyer that the price was appropriate, especially if they didn't pick up that it was the same item. Yeah, not a lot of reassurance, but some anyway. I've seen multiple instances where an item has been posted, sold, and then reposted at the same price several times. Assuming there are only so many legitimate instances where a buyer actually backs out, this would seem suspicious. Especially considering that over twenty years of selling and buying thousands of items on eBay, I have personally only had this happen maybe twice. |
