Late 80’s SL steel racer by Italian Societa’ Meccanica, SOMEC. Somec’s quality and innovative designs ranks them among the best builders. Their craftsmanship, aerodynamic tubes, and unique internal cable routing raised the bar for their counterparts. The size is 55cm x 55cm both measure center to center. This bike has about 150 miles on it since the restoration three years ago, and looks like new. The refinish was done by D&D in San Leandro. IT's setup with Dura Ace 7400 8 speed index (or friction) drive train and brake calipers. The wheelset is a new, but retro looking custom build using Campagnolo hubs on Mavic MA3 rims, with 15 gauge spokes to reduce weight, and Victoria Open Crosa CX 25c tires. The picture tell the story, but don’t hesitate to ask questions.
