59cm 80’s Ron Cooper Reynolds 531c Frameset Full Campagnolo Super Record

Vintage 80’s Ron Cooper Reynolds 531c Frameset Full Campagnolo Super Record $1,100.02

Condition Used - Good, minimal wear
One owner Vintage 80’s Ron Cooper find. Beautiful hand crafted Reynolds 531c (competition) Frameset in amazing condition with Complete full Campagnolo Super Record groupset also in amazing condition.

This Ron Cooper Bicycle is all original as it was purchased in the early '80's except for the new (vintage) Campagnolo hoods, cables & housing, and bar tape.

Ron Cooper was a noted British "Master" frame builder. Starting at the age of 15 in 1947 Cooper began an apprenticeship at A.S. Gillott Cycles, London, England where he learned his craft from British frame builders most notably Jim Collier. He was also an accomplished racing cyclist before an accident forced him to retire from competition.

In 1967, Cooper left A.S. Gillott to build frames under his own name, and by 1970 had set up a small shop as sole fabricator, making bespoke steel frames using the traditional method of free hand brazing rather than jigs, in order to avoid stresses being built into the frame. This building method required careful mitering, exceptional craftsmanship and skill. Each frameset took about two days to make. Many reviews claim Cooper's building methods provided more stability, neutral handling, and responsiveness.

This stellar example of Cooper's skill and craftsmanship has beautiful hand-cut lugs and Campagnolo dropouts. The paint is a beautiful rich red with some of the imperfections common to Coopers of the era. No rust, no dents, no dings, and very few chips mostly present on the stays... In short a beautiful timecapsule of one of the best British builders in his prime.

Schwalbe G-One Allround

Schwalbe G-One Allround RaceGuard Tubeless Easy Tire
Item SKU: 10120606
Color: Classic Skin, Tire Size: 700x40c

Not bad @ 44.25.

More like a 38 than a 40 on 20-622 Rim. I like these, but can;t speak for long term yet... But I have TLE, if 'EASY' version is way different I dunno. The tread looks dotty [;)] but way grippier than looks like it would be off solid pavement...

LOL, I've got several listed on KSL. Trying to make room in the bike cave. I don't list here as I'm not playing the whole paypal tax deal, nor shipping or such. Plus I just love seeing the smile on the local buyers face when they see one of my bikes.

You know, as I posted it I figured it would be one of yours.

One day if you’re up to it, I’d bring you a coffee or whatever your tongue is to see that collection.

Serotta road bike 23 inch Full Dura Ace Colorado CRL tubing. Steel. Carbon fiber front fork. Excellent bike . Classic!

Thanks for that posting. Just got home with it. And I never saw it on local CL. I just finished up the Boone Disc Di2 and wasn't looking...

It is a 59L, which could not be more perfect for me. Hand near new PD-9000 and Garneau shoes too small.

Best part, Original Steel fork never mounted. Rear takes a 28 with a little breathing room, Steel fork a 30. The carbon fork 25mm max. But I am a steel fork guy all the way...

Ed Litton Road Bike 57cm ST, 54cm TT- $450 frame and fork

Ed Litton Road Bike 57cm ST, 54cm TT - $450.02

Handmade, lightweight Ed Litton steel road bike in excellent condition -- looks like it was barely ridden. I'm the third owner. Paint is immaculate except for a few minor chips.

Note the custom geometry: 57cm seat tube, 54cm top tube, both measured center-to-centered. This was a catch-and-release -- couldn't get the fit to work out otherwise I'd be keeping it. The dimensions would work well for someone 5'8”-5'11” who normally takes a 54cm bike but wants reduced saddle-bar drop / has long legs and short torso.

$450 firm for frame, fork, and Shimano Ultegra headset only. More photos forthcoming once I dismantle the bike. To sweeten the deal I can throw in two Shimano UN72 (Ultegra) 70 x 115mm Italian square taper bottom brackets along with two bottom bracket spacers (1mm and .5mm), which should allow you to use most square taper double cranksets while maintaining narrow q-factor. I paid $90 hunting down those bottom brackets, and they're in excellent condition (one was a take-off that was never ridden).

Well it does get ridden and used but it also lives the good life. Most of my bikes only go out in good weather and since they are steel they don't hit the roads when the winter chemicals are down. I alwys have a junker bike or two for winter/rain use.

The Serotta lives on the rack with two of my Lemonds, there on the left of the picture. The Duell is leaning against it, hence why I've listed several for sale locally. The bike cave is out of room!

I googled Bilatto built Lemond and search results found your thread in another forum with photos of the LeMonds, each of which are “chefs kiss”.
