I likely could, not living there any longer but I’m in town for work the next two weeks. Plenty of resources to make it happen.

Shoot me a PM if interested.

Lovely bike. Although, when I read “We all know what this is, and what it’s worth,” my thought was that his estimation of worth is unlikely to match the market’s.

As the original owner of a 1978 Gios I hope he’s right and I’m wrong.

Statements like "we all know what this is worth" annoy me. It's worth what someone will pay for it. If someone buys it at that point, then it's worth at least that much.

I love the part about low-ball offers being “derided.” Looks something like this:

Counterpoint - the "No Low Ballers, I know what I have/got/is worth" trope provides endless hours of amusement through mocking derision towards idiotic sellers.

That being said a Bearclaw all ti flat bar gravel with Klampers and two sets of carbon wheels for $4000 is nothing to sneeze at. The spacers alone have to be worth at least three fiddy!

This guy appears to have a collection of higher end 56cm bikes, I guess it's legit? Location is near Wilmington, NC. He has a few other ads with other bikes on the same CL page.

If you can live with screwed and glued aluminium that Alan is probably as light as 1985 gets without resorting to a Carbonio and/or unobtanium trickery. Great spec with legitimate 28h race wheels rather than the usual 36h Monthlerey Pro etc. training tubs bicycles like this are often sold with. Looks to be in fantastic condition for its age.

I’ll find out when it gets here.
