Missing something?

[QUOTE=Bentley;2637106]Build is good, but a grand for a used Black Mountain, missing the value, educate me.
Owner says 3 rides on the build. The wheelset retails for $800+- Crankset/rings/bb $550+- brakes/skewers $300. It’s more the build then the actual frameset. Nice parts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Thanks
Agree some nice parts, but the build is a mix of parts so it seemed more of a parts bin build than intentional. Never bought a bike to strip the parts, but also, he said he rode the bike 4 times, does not mean all the parts are NEW.
Thanks for the response Should spend more time watching football than stirring the pot here..🤪 |

The BMC ended without a bid. Glad I didn’t do a Hail Mary at opening price, I would have had to buy the right size frame and swap everything over!

1994' Bill Holland Steel Frame Bicycle
1994' Bill Holland Steel Frame Bicycle Large
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1994-Bill-H...4AAOSwvPtdPobr 1994' Bill Holland Hand Made Tig Welded Steel Frame 63cm C-T-C. Beautiful Red with a bit of Pearl painted by Joe Bell. The tubing is Ritchie Logic Special Over Sized Tubing specific for Tig welding, and has internal brake cabling. All decals are intact and bike is stunning! Bill Holland is a premier frame builder and Joe Bell is a Premier painter. The bike has been dismantled to the frame and every part has been gone through. I can forward more pictures on request. New tires, tubes, rim tape, cables, housings, clothe bar tape, seat post, saddle, and water bottle cages. The seat in the picture is not the one on the bike now, it is a new Brooks Swallow seat in black. The components consist of Shimano Ultegra cranks, 600 Tri color hubs, 600 head set, 105 brakes, nitto stem, Tri color derailleurs, matching Silca frame pump painted to match bike. Mavic Open CD rims, Wheel Smith spokes. 700 x 25 Pasela Panaracer tires, Nitto Mustache bars, Shimano 8sp. Bar End Shifters, Nitto stem, and Shimano Deore XT seat post. Bike was dated 7-5-94. The frame and fork was a cost of $1074.00 in 1994. This did not include the custom paint by Joe Bell. I personally spoke with Bill and Joe Bell on this bike. This bike is very light and very responsive. I think I have the original stem and drop bars in my parts bin. The bike is advertised locally and I have the right to end this auction upon sale. The bike will be professionally packed and shipped Via Bike Ship. |
Small VINTAGE HANDMADE HOLLAND BICYCLE
VINTAGE HANDMADE HOLLAND BICYCLE with CAMPAGNOLO C RECORD GROUP and DELTA STRADA XL CHROMIUM RIMS.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-HAN...QAAOSwbI9dtwp0 Once again a chance to own a piece of art! This frame was made by Bob Holland in California. The complete history of this bike is known and we are the only owners. The frame is 50cm so not large but beautiful. Has a Campagnolo C Record set and the rare Delta Strada XL rims. Has been run through gears but don't think it has ever been ridden. Like new. hope the pictures do it justice. Any questions please ask. |
This has suddenly become ‘Dutch Corner’!

I have to agree, the red one is very clean... tad too much but for the right guy is not a bad bet... the tiny one is super nice and barely used, the question is who will get it to strip the group, the issue is who will buy a 2k steel frame in that size you know, wow even the super short record C seatpost, that one is rare.
For kids you are better just going aluminum because of pricing and girls usually just get new stuff from the shop... short guy will walk away due to price range. Tough call as it is and to try to get money back in that frame. |
