Ha, so that's what's going on. I've been seeing various social media pop ups of ridiculous cycling headwear. This must be what's behind it.

At some point, the helmet will engulf the entire bicycle, and merge into a velomobile.

Peripheral vision looks excellent. I'm sure this will be a big hit with peolple who ride in traffic.

My assumption was they are trying to negate changes in drag as the riders raise and lower their heads and/or allow for less time with their necks folded back at severe angles.

All that said, I would have hoped they could have found a better solution to save a couple of seconds.
