gent wevelgem... wider tires win? (spoilers)

Missed the race this morning, but looks like the eventual winner was running wider tires than MvdP.

... and he's not bouncing on the cobbles.

This is clearly a fake image. None of the riders is riding a rim brake, steel frame bicycle with mechanical shifting. Also, the deep fake isn’t even showing brake hoses. Clearly a fake.

And notice MVDP has no gloves in addition to the skinniest tires! No wonder he is World Champion :)

To a worthy former world champion.

Here’s hoping the next two weekends bring epic racing. RvV and PR are my favorite races of the year.

Greg

I'm ready

Women's GW today was also great racing and bunch sprints are excited but I love a two rider breakaway to the finish.

Edit: I guess three rider...who was that 21 year old Aussie? Crazy great ride.

Tis a Pithie you don't remember his name. I think he's Kiwi as well.

Translation please.

GCN reported Mads used tubulars for E3 Saxo. I wonder if he used the same setup to win Ghent-Welvegem? Lidl-Trek is on Pirellis....

Cor Vos is 76 and still knocking out shots like this! So much of bike racing's best images have been shown through his eye.

I see...Laurence Pithie is indeed a Kiwi.

Thanks
