Some good deals though limited sizes

EDIT: apologies for the duplicate, just saw that someone posted a separate thread on this.

That old Berthoud looks like a fair deal! Would anyone be apprehensive in buying a French bike of that era due to old parts (sanyo gen, possible french standards)?

I recommend if we want to keep this thread viable and usable, refrain from “teaser” wording like this. I want to be able to scan the thread and know what that link is for without having to click on it. Please put at least a minimal discription of what the item is in the text so we know without having to click through. That will make this a more user friendly thread.

Thanks Todd

Angry, maybe put that in the first post. I've seen that in other forums I frequent. The first post is constantly amended with guidelines as the thread evolves and the group discovers new guidelines to help the thread.

Not sure how many folks will actually _read_ it but better than buried in page 50 :)

no, to me this is a bonus to the bicycle. I own one, if this fit, id own it too.

The only thing I'd look to swap over time would be the CLB brakes for some nice Mafacs or Compass centerpulls. If this Berthoud fit, I'd have bought it. If it does take a French stem or BB, there's a bunch of stuff out there that is not very expensive, especially stems. Stocking up would be affordable, and its encouraged by this forum!

$1350 complete seems like a pretty good deal even with the seat tube dent.

Frame looks sound but needs a TLC, for the right price ideal frame for a restoration, if the frame fits tho.... or if a fork is needed...

Seller posted a master chrono bike hat rocks too...

It's been posted a couple of times now and been up for a while. S&S is nice, dent isn't, hard to know what to think if it hasn't sold after all this time.

Forget about the dent, who on Earth wants a single speed travel bike?
