New Hampsten Carbon 7-Eleven

Well, Firefly hit it out of the park with my new blue Firefly (here in the Gallery) but I am continuing my bike-acquiring ways. I've had one other all carbon bike in the past that was stellar but it doesn't fit so well so I'm working with Steve Hampsten to remedy the situation. Within a few weeks or so this should be good to go:

Will be 2017 mechanical Campy Record, Ritchey silver stem, bar and seatpost, Campy Bora Ultra 35/Vittoria Corsa, etc. Frame by Peter Graham, ex shop lead at Mad Fibre, and paint by Curt Goodrich. Steve gives Nick Crumpton credit for tech tutelage, btw.

More to follow. Tim

When I saw this on FB I was hoping it belonged to someone here. This is gorgeous. Absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see it built up!

So they're going to be building these in Seattle I understand? Totally wicked. Doubt I'd ever be able to afford one, but really beautiful.

Wow...is this an "official" model?

Tim Porter 08-02-2016 07:52 AM

Steve has a line of bikes called Maglia Rosa and this is the Squadra model within that separate line. He'll use either the Maglia Rosa graphics or the Hampsten graphics. I paid an extra $200 for the slurpee scheme. Fabricated in Seattle. I'm getting the complete bike from Steve, so we're just waiting for the final bits to trickle in and for the wheels I sent him to arrive. Lots of pics to come, I'm sure. Tim

This should be really nice!
I actually didn't care much for that paint job on the originals but this looks very sweet .)

I had the same problem
Go over to VS and log in. You'll be able to see the picture then.

Man... didn't think another bike could top your Firefly, but this might get close! A Hampsten/Goodrich/sorta-Crumpton collaboration... can't wait to see it all built up! Too bad it's not a 54. :)

Tim Porter 08-03-2016 11:12 AM

I only have the one pic so far. I'm not on Facebook at all, so will definitely post pics here. Tim

There seem to have been some issues with seeing the photo, so let's see if this works (downloaded photo and put it into my photobucket acct.):
