Just found the below picture on the Pegoretti Fans & Owners group on Facebook. Does anyone have any insights?
I will go ahead and guess that this will be a Duende CX with disc brakes.

I saw this as well. I am thinking it is a gravel oriented Duende. Don't they already offer a Duende CX with discs?

I first thought it was for a spaghetti dinner.

I'm not aware of a Duende disc, only Round and Responsorium have this option. I wonder which fork they would choose...

It’s a canti-brake bike with a steel fork only:

Well, you could instead go down under, visit Baum, and spend a $$$$load of cash. I know which one I'd choose.

I didn't realize they weren't offering discs or a carbon fork for these. I had a Duende CX with cantis and a carbon fork years ago. It was my first Pegoretti.

It came with a Sintema Mud carbon fork that I swapped for an Enve later on. I picked it up in NYC during a heat wave and rode my first D2R2 on it that weekend. The bike was excellent!

My bet is the Duende gets discs and a more endurance/gravel geometry. The CX I had was a CX bike with a high BB and race like feel to it.

Announced! Interesting choice to move ahead with their own Fork

Ugh. I find that fork very ugly. Not a fan of the old school cross geo either. Hard pass on this one.

I do like this spec better

That fork looks like something designed while doing 'my first 3d model' online course, just the most basic shapes and cutouts.

Not sure how I feel about the fork, but a stainless disc Pegoretti CX/Gravel bike is cool in my book. I did my first D2R2 on a Duende CX and it was a phenomenal bike with surgical precision on those dirt and gravel roads.

I recall descending at a high rate of speed on mine and realizing a bit late that I was headed for the Green River when I banked an extremely hard left to try and evade it. The Duende CX did it without even breaking traction! I am sure this will be an amazing riding bicycle!

Yeah I don’t know if love the 6cm BB drop - definitely more of a traditional CX geometry in stock form:

They do offer custom geo, though, so I’m sure it’s something you could address with them in an order.

I bet it’s pretty fun to ride though. I’d be worried about destroying the paint job personally.

I understand that designing a fork that looks good is a challenge, but I think they would have been better off just going with a Ritchey fork over this.
