Lemond Wayzata, San Diego Craigslist, $45, maybe 55cm(?)
https://images.craigslist.org/00S0S_...t2_600x450.jpg Seller's text: "Used bike, completely rideable. Tires hold air fine and are new-ish. Gear linkage needs work (nothing is wrong with the actual components) and brakes are definitely gone. I'm 6'0 and its sized fine for me. Had it at a lower price but got way too many responses. The bike definitely will need some work to be reliable. If the posting is up it is still available. Bike is near balboa park." My comments: The Wayzata was the flat-bar version of the Poprad. A great frame built around clearance for 700x35 or so using canti mounts, with road geometry rather than cyclocross. Reynolds 853 (at least in the main triangle; I don't know about the stays). I mean, the price is suspiciously low, but it's worth checking out. I seriously doubt this is a bike sized for 6'0", though. It's certainly smaller than my old 59cm version, and it looks smaller than the 57cm I built up for a friend. |

This Look / Hinault 753 in La Vie Claire Mondrian came up on my eBay feed today. Perhaps you remember when Greg and Bernard rode these in the TdF.... $550 +shipping seems pretty reasonable, and the frame looks great for being 35 years old!

Looks like a well used early 90’s Della Santa in around 58-60cm. Price seems very optimistic IMHO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Vintage Palo Alto 59cm - $900
( Avery nice example of Italian frame building by Biemazetta) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik...239326738.html Eroica ready! Vintage Biemazetta made 59cm bicycle. Columbus SL steel made in Italy for Palo Alto cycles. Not sure of the year but thinking early 80s. Dura Ace hubs on FIR rims. 700c grand Bois tires. It’s a mix of parts that are working great together. Campagnolo Brake levers, record front derailleur, pedals and seat post. Suntour friction shifters with Shimano dear head rear derailleur. Brooks saddle. 3ttt stem. Universal brakes Sugino compact crankset 50/34 8 speed cassette. Climbs great! Front rack is Velo orange Rear rack is vintage. The bag comes with if you want it. It’s pretty beat up but still works fine. The paint has some nicks but is overall in excellent condition. Everything is cleaned, lubed and greased and in perfect working condition. Feel free to ask any questions. |
