2012 Giant TCR
 

Any thoughts on whether or not this 2012 Giant TCR Advanced SL 3 Double for 2550 is a good deal? My initial hunch is overpriced after consulting ebay. I included the craigslist add and bikepedia.

The Bikepedia bike is Ultegra Mechanical, not Di2 as in CL ad.

Plus, the wheels and nearly every other part is upgraded.

Seems like a great deal.

Keep in mind the Ultegra is 10 speed, not 11, if that bothers you.

I'd say a fair but not great deal.

I sold my 2012 di2 equipped tcr advanced for less than a grand. That was a steal, but I'm sure they can be had with some patience for well under what they are asking.

Overprice IMO. Flo wheels are aero sure, but also boat anchors. That 90 rear is a full kg on its own. Ok for tri, which is the market they were targeted at, but not really for anything else. They were cheap when new (relatively speaking) and don't have great resale value. Personally - they don't add any value to the bike for me beyond being usable as wheels - same for the stem and bars - nicer than stock, but not a lot of added value.

It's a solid frame and the Ui2 is nice, but it's outdated (10s). IMO, $1500-1700 is top of the mark. I'd sell the Flo's (probably worth $500-650) and pick up some nice used clinchers - Hed Ardennes, Shimano C24, Pacenti SL23 to hubs of your choice, etc.
