9100 50/34 to 50/36
Anybody swap their Dura Ace 9100 50/34 for a 50/36? Essentially just change the 34 to a 36?

doesn't work as well b/c of the ramps.... supposedly.

Anyway, I doubt very much that shifting will be negatively impacted and the smaller difference in chainring size is pleasing while riding. |
Thanks Saab-

All I meant to say is that Shimano says it's not optimal.

...but... you can make it work acceptably with a little fiddling BTDT M |

I also installed a 46-tooth ring on my Indy Fab. Works flawlessly. The grease on the bolts is a good idea too. I had a creaking 5800 crank last summer. Took out the bolts one by one, dabbed a spot of grease on them, reinstalled, snugged them and enjoyed blissful silence. |
