Tan wall tires

I'd like to find some nice-riding retro-looking clinchers for a classic build, 700c x 25mm. What an I looking for?

Vittoria Corsa G+ is a nice bright tan, or Panracer GravelKing for a darker brown (also more budget friendly)

Does Avocet still make tires? The FasGrip Criterium was a good one.

I’ve always liked the look of the continental Grand Prix classic. I’ve never owned them but continental makes a great tire. Ive owned several sets of panracers and they look perfect for a vintage type of look. My problem with them is durability but that’s probably just my luck

I am a fan of the Velofex Master/Corsa. No real problems with flats and it’s easy bike upgrade. They ride fantastically.

That is, if you can get them on without throwing it out the window the first time..

But agree, I've had no problems with flats on these. I only recall one flat and that was because I was riding through the winter with them.. :bike:

Perhaps I'm getting stronger, but Veloflexes seem to have gotten easier as time goes on. I mounted a pair of so-new-they-stunk-up-my-house master 25s yesterday, piece of cake. A metal core tire lever certainly helps.

Their tires stretch out pretty quickly. Second or third installation is usually a dawdle.

I will note that I have always had terrible luck with punctures on veloflex tires - but only in the rain. Brilliant ride quality and surprisingly long-lasting.

i was using them during race season / commuting in NYC, so my sample size is skewed towards crappy roads.

Corsa g+
Continental GP classic
Gp4000s2 tan wall (only 23c though)

Those are the only tires I’d buy personally

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Compass Chinook Pass tires, although I think the smallest they come in is 28cs. Also Challenge Strada Pros or Paris Roubaix tires.

Right now I have Pasela Panaracer Loctites which I am very happy with for street riding. I plan to upgrade to Corsa G+ tires next.

Also a huge fan of the Pasela for urban riding.

Panaracer Race C Evo

Anyone try these yet? The OP asked about 25mm but these are only a mm larger, so maybe they would work. Been considering a pair myself, so any feedback would be great.

Specialized Turbo Cotton - my personal favorite tire but very expensive
Challenge Strada or Paris Roubaix - nice tires with excellent puncture resistance, hard to fit first time though. I use the Gravel version on my Gravel bike, fast enough on road and grippy enough off road
Vittoria Corsa G+ - Almost as nice as Turbo Cotton and much cheaper, this is my go to training tire on my road bike
