A friend's bike. Don't know the complete story but it appears airline related.

Well, on the bright side, the airline won't be able to argue that it's just cosmetic damage...

The frame is now ready for couplers.

Dead Skunkma - that stinks!

Impressive. Was the bike used as landing gear?

DIY carbon couplers - now there's an idea. With enough Bondo anything can look good.

vertr 04-16-2024 05:03 PM

Oh man the reviews on that are like carbon repair gore!

The down tube break looks real, the seat tube and top tube break almost look to clean to be real. Took some force to manage that damage.

Groupset removal will be easy..

you can split up the pieces and do it as a team...

Keep us posted on the outcome of your friend's claim.

I'll bet the airline denies the claim and says the bike was not packaged properly.
