Bedford done ... need BMW paint code

http://www.dagsites.com/2002colors.htm

I'd like to pain the bike in BMW 2002 Granada Burgundy. (circa 1972)

Any idea how I can obtain this color or paint code?

Thanks in advance !!!!

It should have the BMW color code. From what I gather, you can bring color codes to professional paint supply shops and get it mixed. Sorry - not great advice - but I will say you have excellent taste in cars/color.

#23?

Quick search yields BMW code 023 and ICI code 4908...any paint shop should be able to cross reference that.

THey will ask you if you want exact match or if you care about that, depending on your answer is how much will be. Many jobbers have 2 or 3 types of paint in the shot so prepare yourself to pay from 100+ the pint down to 15 bucks the pint.

025 is 74-75 and is a metallic, 023 is 68-72 and is non-metallic.

ICI is just another paint company, like PPG and Dupont...any paint supplier can cross reference these numbers.

Awww Ray, metallic would be VERY cool.

A pain in the butt to match/touch up but it would look amazing in the sunlight.

Bike is full SS rear (Stainless Steel)
A custom selection of True Temper tubing for the main triangle
Hand cut (Paramount Style) SS Lugs including Seat Tube Cluster
All sorts of custom SS embellishments on the bike.
SS fork Crown .... SS dropouts .... just tons of cool SS stuff.
Kelly went all out on this one.

Down tube Logo will be in cream with black outline ..... (no panel)
Seat tube = 2 small KB on each side, with cream rings (no panel)

Should I go metallic ?

It's a retro kinda bike

No SS BB. Both Kelly and Wages talked me outa it.
Too ostentatious and SS BB may creak.

Also Kelly had to custom fillet lugs on the BB
as he used a down tube for the seat tube.
The seat tube would not fit into the BB.

She is a 65 with a 2 deg slope ... so the front is a 67

Group is 2002 Campy Record / TA Zephyr crank
