Cx70 top pull with 7800 shifter?
I know one of the 10s DA iterations is noteworthy for having a unique pull ratio that doesn't jive with other road group ders.... but googling around on my phone I'm not finding much help..
Cx70 top-pull work with 7800? I should also add this is gonna be set up 1x front, so my only purpose for even plugging a front der on is to act as additional chain derailment prevention, and hopefully on-the-fly re-railing. If it'll push the der over far enough to put the chain back on the inside ring, that's all I'm after... Thanks! (Cross is coming ... TONIGHT) |
Sorry, this isn't really what you're looking for, but the wolf tooth chainguide is easily worth the $$. Stops the chain from ever dropping, like, ever.

Does seem a little steep for a chain catcher.. is it somehow better than the $10 plastic hook variety?

The DA 7800 front derailleur pull wasn't anything special and worked with pretty much any Front D so I'm thinking it'll be fine. Double fine I'd think if you're only using it to flop the chain back on although if you're using a narrow wide ring I bet you don't lose it. I rarely ever dropped a chain racing cross even without a narrow wide chainring but I was fairly smooth... and slow.

IDK about 7800, but I DO know that derailleur will work with 6800 and/or 9k

I used a CX 70 top pull FD with 7800 shifters on my old CX bike. It worked fantastically well paired with 36/46 shimano rings.
