Mavic R-Sys questions re: hubs
 

Two questions:
1. I currently have 10s Campagnolo on my R-SYS. Can I put 11 or 12 Campagnolo on same hub?
2. If I were to switch to Shimano is there an 11 speed hub body I can put on(model#)?

1. Yes
2. Yes. Depends on year of manufacture but it’s probably an FTS-L freehub body

R-SYS hasn't moved to the ID360 freehub Mavic's been rolling out, so it would be FTS-L. I think there's an 11 speed body for those in Shimano.

No issues with Campy. 10-12 is all the same freehub.

Force Transfer System-Light
Used to be called ED10 (campy) and M10 (shim/sram) now called ED11 or M11 but best to just use the Mavic part numbers below. You can find these part numbers on the R-SYS SLR page on the Mavic site.

Compatible Adapters and freewheel bodies
FTS-L Campagnolo freewheel body (30871201)
FTS-L Shimano / Sram freewheel body (30871101)

The Campagnolo body is 9/10/11/12 compatible. no spacers. install and ride.

The S body needs spacers depending on the speed
- 11sp shimano/sram = no spacer
- 10sp shimano = 1.75 spacer + 1.0 spacer
- 10sp SRAM = 1.75 spacer

These bodies used to show up now and again on the Forum classifieds but less so in recent years. Probably becasue once wide rims became a thing there were a few years mavic lagged and in that time a lot of owners sold off their "narrow" Mavics and moved on to other wheel mfgs. If you switch, consider saving the old body so you have more flexibility if you decide to sell the wheels.
