Good luck my dude, I was thinking about asking myself but I’m trying to wait to buy another bike

The guy selling it is was out of his realm for the following reasons:

1. Cut off the non-drive pedal, probably because he didn't know it's reverse threaded or care to ask for help.

2. Removed the pricey Campagnolo crank arm bolts to access the cranks, maybe lost the the bolts, and then decided to include the cranks with the sale because he couldn't remove them

3. When I emailed to ask about if the cranks were included and if the crank arm bolts are included (he must have them) he replied with a snooty response that the listing is for a frame only and any extras included are a gift. Didn't actually answer the question. Which told me he'd continue to hack away at the build with god knows what tools to remove what he could. I've seen people completely destroy those soft Campy square taper cups if they don't get good engagement on it. I've also seen people use heat to remove square taper cranks. Who know what this guy had plans to do with the frame over the week it was for sale. No thanks.

4. Listed the fork separately, which is designed for this frame, and the fork had the Chris King top cap and base plate while the frame kept the Chris King cups. He lost out on potential buyers by splitting those up. Do you even want to guess if he kept the Reynolds brake nut with the fork? Haha, doubt it.

The lack of care or finesse just bums me out. Hopefully someone won both the frame and fork and can rescue those Campy cranks!

Would've never expected such cluelessness and callousness from username...... (checks listing)

I'm blown away that he basically got just under $1,000 for frame and fork.

I was looking at this that is listed in Bend a couple of weeks ago, but he was reluctant to ship and I ended up with something else. Attached is the geo chart as well (got directly from Seven).

Someone in Bend has been dumping nice bikes for $750 a pop. Unclear if it's one seller or multiple.

I have a sneaking feeling we're going to see that ebay listing go up again. If someone cuts corners like that a shill bidder isn't beyond question.

cnighbor1 07-02-2019 05:01 PM

Bend OR an a moots also listed $825

Yeah I popped that one on here a page back. It looks really familiar too, I think it's not the first time it's been listed. I know there was that $800? moots frameset that someone here snagged from this thread.

texbike 07-02-2019 05:54 PM

This thread is evil! ;)

A forum member that lives in Bend snagged the last Vamoots that popped up on CL there.

psa MASI Gran Criterium- Campagnolo Chorus 52cm, NOS Frame & Fork! - $1800

MASI Gran Criterium- Campagnolo Chorus, NOS Frame & Fork! - $1800

I am selling a beautiful example of one of the most sought after Italian racing bikes, the Masi Gran Criterium in Tomato Red.

This is an early 90's NOS frame built by Mondonico. It measures 52cm center to center on the seat tube and 54cm center to center on the top tube.
It has been built up with gently used Campagnolo components.
A true Italian thoroughbred with all Italian components including:

6 speed Campagnolo Chorus group including pedals
Campagnolo Omega Strada XL Hardox wheels laced to Campagnolo hubs, Michelin slick tires.
Campagnolo seat post
Girardi Regal Saddle with copper rivets
Cinelli bar and stem.
Chrome fork crown.

A very stable, comfortable and responsive ride that descends like it is on rails. The only flaw is a tiny paint chip that has been reglued on the down tube from the brake tower. I tried to show it on one of the photos.

Calfee 58cm Full campagnolo record - $800

Calfee tetra custom 58 with campagnolo record titanium 9 speed groupset. Campy zonda wheelset. Beautiful parts.

Frame has been my commuter for a few years. Overall decent condition, but paint chips on the top tube from being locked up.

Needs a little love to get it back to racing condition. Amazing frame - similar silhouette to the Calfee built leMond. Record down to the skewers.
