Removing Logos from SRAM Carbon Cranksets

I've wanted to do this for a while. Picked up a Quarq Dzero with Quarq branded SRAM carbon arms with some logos that needed to go.

Supplies:
Water
600grit Wet/Dry Sand Paper
800grit Wet/Dry Sand Paper
1500grit Wet/Dry Sand Paper
Cutting/Polishing Compound
A few rags
Roughly 30-40 minutes of time

Steps:
1.) Get a bowl of water and high grit sandpaper, I used 600, 800, and 1500 but would start with 400 next time to speed things up.
2.) Submerge the 600 in water for a bit and start slowly, it should take off the main parts (and the water coming off will still be white).
3.) Keep switching up grits, dipping the paper in water often, if the water color starts to go black and then you have hit carbon. At that point go to the highest grade and smooth out any remaining marks
4.), I then use the cut/polish compound and manually to rub it into the cranks, moving in circles.
5.) Buff with a cloth/old cotton shirt.

Next up, SRAM Red eTap BB30 Cranks.

Now finish polishing around the spindle, so those with OCD can go to bed tonight.

That's hot!
(If you're not familiar with him, @dangerholm on Instagram takes stripping, refinishing and even modifying bike carbon to new levels for a non-pro, it's impressive and the results, to my eye, impressive).
