There's always more . .

. . . to these stories than what you see in the initial "news" story.

????

Car hits cyclist->car driver should be arrested for assault!!

Cyclist hits car driver, "there is more to the story"....

????

Cyclist mob went nutz and assaulted the 19 yr old, IMHO.

We had nine pages of posts when the kids in Chattanooga pepper sprayed a cyclist but only 5 posts so far after cyclists physically assault and pepper spray a volunteer driver helping to clean up the road after the 10km Nelson Mandela Commemorative Walk......

Its a ····ty move by the cyclists no matter what but its hard to believe that this assault is unprovoked tbh. Its not that i think cyclists get a free pass or are all good ppl or anything like that, its just that it doesent make sense to me for a group ride to ride passed a parked car and then assualt teenagers in it for no reason what so ever.

The story of the teens in the car ending up pepperspraying the lone cyclist does seem like something "kids" could do. It seem more plausible (to me)

Ive been wrong before tho so who knows and if i am by all means threw the book at em.

Gang mentality

We may feel different if they were urban kids on fixies or a gang of skateboarders

Not nice

HG folks taught her two wrongs don't make a right and to always take the high road.
When cyclists act like dummies (eg running top signs , weaving, etc) or this they don't further the cycling cause.
Regardless don't get violent

Take a pill and relax . . .

I'm not saying in any way that what they (reportedly) did was OK. Just that there is likely more to the story.

Take a pill? You have never seen me sweated up sir.

I've seen my fair share of butt nuggets in cars and on bicycles.

Doesn't it say the guy leading the paceline wasn't watching the road and led his group right into the back of the van? Sounds like he crashed all his mates and tried to scapegoat it on the driver. What a bunch of idiots.

Possibly but it says he managed to not collide with the car which would seem a bit strange to point out if there was a whole gruoup of riders who actually did collide esp without mentioning that.
