GCN - Thots??

GCN has a promotion running offering 50% discount. Wondering if any in the US have experience with their service. Wondering in particular about the quality of coverage for things like stage races. Do they actually provide 'live' coverage, or 30 or 60-minute re-caps?? Thank you in advance for any thots!

"Thots"

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Umm.. it kinda works, depending on your opinion of GCN.

I know a number of folks are using the platform to watch CX races. I plan to do the same if there's a road season to watch this year, depending on what they have.

TizCycling for me.

GCN with a VPN is the winning ticket.

I have the GCN race pass. It's worth it. Just sign up next year at the beginning of the cross season.

Just mute the J-Pow commentary. ;)

Beldar77 02-03-2021 01:44 PM

seems ...

Like a no -brainer cost wise - $25 for the year gets you some early stage races and one day races- tour de provence, tirreno-adriatico and strade bianche. Milan- san remo. My question is when will they make it available over a roku or Amazon TV or the like.

Certainly they are missing the big stage races but for $25 that seems a decent amount of content right there. EDIT; it looks like the Giro will be available in the US as well ( https://help.globalcyclingnetwork.co...tes-of-America)

If I'm correct right now it is only available via apps or a browser. So I can attach the laptop to a tv but that is not ideal.

Is the commentary good?

Learn something new every day, and I'm not talking about GCN

Commentary is fine. Nothing is a good and the Euro feeds for talking heads though.

I just stream from my iphone to either my apple tv or my Roku. Both work well with very little effort. While I'd like GCN to show as an app on my appletv (maybe it will someday), streaming is nbd.

Lol. Marty was apologizing last week for the loss of J-Pow's audio feed...

I was hoping it was a feature.
