Let’s see those Zwift setups

So it’s officially indoor season for me here in Metro Detroit, MI. I am new to zwift but I am already hooked on it. I was wondering how do you fellow cyclists have your zwift setup for your indoor trainer?

I have a black burn Mag 1 basic trainer but I have a wahoo speed & cadence sensor that’s Bluetooth and & Ant+ linked to my phone which I have downloaded the Zwift app. So that how I link my bike to zwift but then I took it a little further due to the iPhone 7 Plus screen being good for a phone but not while I am biking in motion so I have an amazon fire stick (who doesn’t have one!!!) that I down loaded a free screen sharing app on the fire stick that I can mirror to my iphone and boom no problems no lagging or anything. I had it setup in the bedroom Lol but It looks awesome on my 60inch tv in the basement!!!!

Still working on mine, but would be interested to see others' pics.

I have a Kurt Kinetic fluid trainer picked up on CL for cheap last year, Garmin cadence/wheelspeed/HR sensors and will run it through a laptop with a USB ANT+ dongle.

Mostly what I need to figure out is if I can get away with riding in my living room after the kids go to bed (with video sent from the laptop to the big TV), or if I'll have to set up in my basement man cave instead. No TV down there yet so I'd be watching the laptop (probably have to rig up a stand for it?) or the Android app or something.

I'm thinking of giving it a try this year. I've got a PC that should be able to handle it. A Power Tap G3 hub with a Garmin 520 and was thinking about just using rollers.

Here's my old set-up. New set-up not too much different. Basically, one fan and one blower. They have served me well. I considered getting a second blower, but so far that has not been necessary.

So in total:

-Smart trainer: CycleOps Hammer
-USB extender cable + ANT+ receiver. The extender is recommended if one lives in an apartment
-Box fan
-Lazko Blower

I have done Zwift on rollers a couple times using my phone or ipad. Not ideal but as long as you do not need to do the in-ride social media stuff it is still fun on the rollers.

except the social rides are the best part of the whole thing. I really can't get myself that motivated for endurance rides these days, but you put me in a virtual group, and i'm good to go

then there's the racing, which i also like

Haven't Zwift'd but TrainerRoad has been in heavy rotation down here for a while.

Wahoo Kicker Snap on my these days, my otherwise little used TT bike with yoga mat to catch the sweat. I use Zwift on my iPad mirrored through Apple TV. I won’t start indoor riding until probably December, although I thought about it in September because of all the rain.

That's what's up.

A bit of a mess downstairs right now, but here's mine. I'll usually run zwift from my iphone tossed to the apple tv, but was in the mood to watch some wrasslin last night when I got home from my night job. Snuck in 15 mins (eh, better than nothing) before bed. Bike on the kickr, fan in front, tv up, laptop on the workbench. When I'm running the iphone I'm running all the ANT+ through a CABLE adapter (connect ant + to BLE), the macbook air has an ant+ dongle.

Do you mean like text chat? Yeah that would be difficult on rollers. I will have a PC with a monitor in front of me. I guess I need to get an ANT thingie.

I have, except it's upstairs on the main tv and since my kids are so tied to it, i never get to use that (would be way more convenient).

That said, you *need* to run the mobile companion for the ride to upload, from what I understand. I don't know if they've fixed that. Otherwise, it works really easily and beats the 18 different streaming methods I use.

A bigger TV and a second current gen apple tv are on my christmas list.
