MINT Columbine USA Made Fully Custom Lugged Steel Campagnolo Road Bike - $2,999.02

"Columbine Cycle Works began as many small businesses do. An idea became a hobby, the hobby became an obsession, the obsession a way of life. John and Richard Murphy founded Columbine in 1979 with the goal of producing one of the finest bicycles in the world. To build a good frame was not enough. It would be durable, handle superbly and look spectacular. For this ideal, the rugged mountain wildflower, the Columbine was chosen to be the name. The Columbine is distinctive among the high alpine flowers. Its color, stature and unique beauty are stunning to behold. This striking flower became the symbol for the quality, beauty and special character found in every Columbine frame produced. In a world of cookie-cutter styling, Columbine bicycles stand out as a statement of individuality, personal expression and a passionate pursuit of the craft."

Rivendell Bleriot (Protovelo) 57cm 650B - $2,000

Rivendell Bleriot (Protovelo) 57cm 650B - $2,000
Beautiful bike but Rivendells never seem to stick around for me and I usually end up grabbing another bike when going for a ride.

I got this Bleriot third-hand and it has been very well cared for over the years. Originally it was a Protovelo (Rivendell prototype) Bleriot that had S&S couplers added. It was repainted by Waterford in the sparkly brown/rootbeer with cream headtube and fork. Fork also had rack mounts brazed on to the mid-fork. The fork had a little extra rake added which I think improved the handling slightly.

Bike's in great shape, no dents/dings/scratches. Size is 57cm. I'm 5'9" and the fit is great. My usual fit is a 56cm road bike.

Includes the hard suitcase, S&S coupler tool and included pads for traveling, just forgot to take a photo of it.

It was a good build when I got it but I swapped out a few things for some other nice stuff. Here's the parts list:

Velo Orange 650B wheels
NOS Mitsuboshi Trimline tires
Paul Racer centerpull brakes with Koolstop salmon pads
New Shimano 9-speed bar-end shifters
Nitto Noodle handlbars (44cm)
Ritchey stem from MB-1 (I think)
New Shimano Tiagra aero levers
Specialized "Flag" triple crank (170mm)
Nitto S83 seatpost
Brooks Pro (not Berthoud Aravis in photo)
Stronglight headset
Berthoud stainless fenders with Honjo hardware/stays (were used and drilled--front has a small dent, see photo) and Berthoud mudflap
Nitto "T" bottle cages

Only thing it doesn't include is pedals, so if you want to test ride please bring yours!

$2,000 (and firm at least for the moment). I don't need to sell it, but I don't need it sitting around and I'd like it to go to someone who appreciates it. Thanks.

Cool looking road frame from a small builder out of Ft. Worth Texas - now defunct I think? 52cm top tube. Could make a cheap rain bike.

NOS Newsboy - As good as it gets
https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-MERLIN...-/164666141213

The Newsboy was at the top of my unobtanium list...I remember reading how difficult it was to bend Ti, so this was (almost, well, not quit) moonshot territory...but, 1. Can you get U-Brakes anywhere? Seems a dead end of braking technology.. and 2. What's that thing sticking down from the curved downtime.

Internally routed cables. Housing enters under the DT near the HT.

Anyone here willing to assist with this one, assuming it's not sold already? I'd just need someone to give it a good look to make sure it's not damaged in any safety-critical areas. Thanks in advance!

1994 57 cm Bridgestone RB-1 for $400 on Austin CL

Hey Team,

Here's what appears to be a nice, clean 57 cm '94 RB-1 on the Austin Craigslist-

https://austin.craigslist.org/bik/d/...268976213.html

You don't see too many of the '94 RB-1s around -especially in the 57.5 size. It's too big for me, otherwise, I would be extremely tempted to buy it. Great paint combo with the ST panel AND it has the cool Ritchey fork crown.

But man this Soul Frameset is beautiful!!!
Unsure of the sizing, as it's listed as "M" but I'm thinking its a 50 or 51 per their stock geo offerings... It'll fit me...

It hurts my head seeing $10,000+ bikes with gatorskins and dirty chains. Very cool build though. I wonder what it will end up selling for.
