Man, the Peg paint jobs always make me go ***. I love the concept, it's the result that baffles me.

Appreciating that paint depends on if you are the beholder BUT this is one of the early ciavete where Round spent a lot more time hand painting than the $500 upcharge would have suggested. Also the ouzo pro is the fork Dario spec'd for that frame.

I would be all over that if I was in the market. Note to prospective buyers: Peg 56.0 has a tall head tube.

Here we have a lovely $13.5 thousand dollar asking price titanium bicycle.

Dont worry about the size. that's not important.

Says small in the listing. That doesn't tell us much though.

Also has a nice looking Chesini listed. Your size! Hard to say if it was actually used in the 84 Olympics as stated. Probably a commemorative frame.

Price seems a little optimistic for both.

That is pretty ridiculous.

I'll sell my 54cm Moots Vamoots RSL for $6000.

Ha. I actually know the owner really well.. I think it's around a 54-55, but I'll send him a note and remind him to add some geometry to it.. might help to sell it easier.

I need the 80th ani wheelset for my 80th ani SR groupo....

Wah...

cribbit 02-24-2020 11:33 AM

Isn't the exact thing brand new cheaper than that...?

I can't imagine any used bike that manages to be worth more than 50% of its retail price, barring weird collectable things.

I dunno, see what a NIB 80th ani groupo with those wheels sells for? If you can find one, probably will be a seller 'selling' the rare no longer available parts for crazy_coin.

But I think your point is well taken.

The bigger take away for me is how it could sell when for similar money a buyer would have a lifetime warranty in the frame VS not having one. Folk that have this kind of coin to spend to enjoy toys at this level are presumably smarter than this purchase ?? I am...

That paint is terrible. I can't stand the vast majority of the Peg paint jobs.

Add in those wretched ergo bars, and the whole thing is a mess.

I like the ones I have seen, or did until I saw that one anyway.

Easy fix on the bars of course, but totally in the same camp as you on this.

Saw on my local CR. I am not too knowledgeable on current Moots pricing, but looks like a good deal.
