Panaracer Gravel Kings - report

Just wanted to post about my positive experience with Panaracer Gravel Kings. I've ridden ultremos, gp 4 seasons, hutchinson intensives so far and was looking for something new, so I went with these. I'm probably a hair under 200 miles in so far - but riding crappy roads with probably 250lbs on the bike all in if you add in bike weight, rider weight, and pannier/rack setup for the commute. The road just feels noticeably smoother since I put them on. Haven't taken them off road yet, but I'll report back when I do.

Love them so much I just picked up a set of the 26's for my other bike.

Best of all, at http://www.mpgear.com/ (which I had never heard of prior to buying these tires) has 2 different links for each tire size (search for gravelking all one word) and if you choose the link without a picture you can pick these up for $33 a tire - and I found a coupon this AM for another 15% off (thanks14). That gets you down to $28 a tire.

Anyways - just wanted to pass along my positive experience and cheap pricing I found, as I've never had such a positive tire experience, and certainly not at prices this low.

These are some of my favorite tires. The ride is comparable to that of Hutchinson's Sector 28 tubeless tires.

Panaracer will be releasing a 32mm Gravelking, but the tread (pattern) will be different.

Listing for $39.14 on mpgear today. I need some 28mm gravel tires so will check these out for sure.

I checked the site and 32's are on backorder. Any Idea when they are coming out? 28 bucks a tire is a pretty nice deal and might go with the 28's.

Do they wear out quickly due to the soft compound?

Last I heard was sometime in November.

Do the 28's measure true?

BTW thanks GRAVELBIKE.

Not in my experience.

Yes.

I'm running them on 25mm HED Ardennes Plus LT wheels, and the tires plump out to 30.5mm.

Thanks again. I am in need of replacing the Schwalbe Marathon 700X28s that I am currently using on my commuter. These will shave almost 300g a tire in weight and cost roughly the same.

There's 2 links for each tire. So there's 28's listed for $39, and there's a separate listing for 28's that's missing a picture of the tire for $33. I ordered from this recently at this price without issue. Add in the discount code from above for 15% off, and if you use fatwallet, you get another 5% back.

Nah, no worries. Hope everyone enjoys them.

I picked up a 3rd 28 for when the rear wears on my commuter, and 3 26's for the road bike. Assuming they don't wear down crazy fast, I'm excited to have finally found a good go-to tire!

Perfecto! I might just go ahead and order these based in this rec. I don't have the bike in hand yet but it should be coming shortly. Parts on hand would be great.

I've seen them go out of stock and come back in, but if you look around you aren't going to beat this pricing. I'd do it if I were you!
