Regardless of the circumstances it's still a grail type bike for me. I just can't justify it right now at that price and I only referenced it because of what I've see similar vintage Pegs selling for. It has the older headtube (albeit with the enve fork vs the falz), as i thought that older pegs usually trade less than the 2014 and up models.

I'd love to do a deal on just the frame and fork, but right now he's not willing to split (his prerogative). I really want to make it work, but just can't pull the trigger. Too bad as the OP is right, BLE's come up very little in that big of a size.

BLE's haven't really changed other than the introduction of the Falz fork and a braze-on for the front derailleur in 2014. I had the braze-on added when I got it refinished. Same tubesets, welders, etc.

You won’t find another as cherry as this or in this color. Everything is DA and functions perfectly. Newly installed 4 season Continental tires, new bar wrap, and several period correct upgrades added. Check picks carefully for details. This is one of my all time fave vintage steel frames/groupo combos(8 speed da) and price is firm, brooks not included. Thank you for looking!

Wow! The bike has already arrived. Nothing flaky - the seller just didn't seem to be very good at eBay. The left/front shifter doesn't work (it seems to need a bit of cleansing with WD40 to clean out the old grease) and the bike was incredibly dusty/dirty with a few marks from use and storage over the years. Overall it seems pretty solid without a ton of miles on it.

Thanks again for the PSA Nick. I'll be keeping the group/wheels for another project and moving the frameset on to a new home as it's too big for me (Colnago 62 ~ 59 cm TT/18.8 HT/62 CTT ST).
