Battle Scars (Warning -- Graphic Content)

Battle scars, we all have them, on our flesh and our bikes. Post pictures of the aftermath of your crash.

I'll go first.

my last crash was back in may, hit a very chewed up section of road and lost control. luckily no damage to the bike as my shoulder broke the fall.

Ritchey Pro Peloton Pedals=

Luckily, I didn't completely crash. However, I did manage to gouge my right knee on the big ring when the pedal body came off the spindle. Mind you, these were NEW pedals -- I mean, brand-spankin', right-outta-the-box, didn't-get-1/10th-mile-down-the-road new.

You can see the pedal body still attached to my cleat-- complete with the blue lube still intact inside. The other pic is of the bare spindle with blue lube on it.

Elbow

Just finishing a century and a Pickup Truck attempted to pass me. He was successful all but the rear quarter panel. Result; broken elbow with bumps and scrapes. I now have two Ti pins and wire to compliment my Ti bike

Hit and run driver 06..
Ever wonder why I have a few gold teeth? It's not just for rock and roll!
Still hurts me to look at that one.

I don't have pictures, but two years ago September 2nd I crashed, had to be medevac'ed by helicopter. Six busted ribs, punctured lung, clavicle busted into four. It's reinforced by titanium now. I still don't know what caused it. I have my suspicions, but all I remember is turning the corner just before the downhill I crashed on, and the next thing a couple days later waking up in the ER. Now my left collarbone twinges when the weather changes. My bike has a few scratches to remember it by.

went down on fast right hand turn when I hit some leaves. didn't do the real damage until my road rash producing slide was brought to an abrupt end. the only appendage not secured to a contact point (hands on bars, feet in pedals) was my head. lucky the plastic surgeon on call was pretty good and I healed up really well. pic on the right was after 3 days.

I'm a true poser compared to what I've just seen here, but at least I can contribute. Just a simple biff while mountain biking.

Ouchies...

Mine's an audiovisual.

That's me on the floor being tended to by paramedics after I dislocated by elbow and broke my radius in 3 pieces back in January.

I got some nice hardware inside my arm as a souvenir.
