Two incoming

Two new framesets coming in next week. Had to prepare two buckets.
Some of you already know what one of them is, the other I will keep under wraps until later. Both are going to be super fun to build up, rubbing my palms, can't wait for them to get here and start cranking.

I seem to recall you claiming that you had no room for more bikes. I don't know what to believe anymore, next thing you will be building a Campy equipped bike with the far superior Italian bottom bracket and riding tubulars. ;)

I don't. You can believe what I said.
I had to tear down two bikes to make room.

R3 pal, don't worry too much about it, as long as you are not harming anyone, endangering your livelihood, betraying your wife, selling your kids, breaking the heart of your parents, disappointing your first-grade teacher, abetting terrorists, killing women and children....see what I mean...there are worse things that one can do. it's just bikes. a lot cheaper than expensive cars, lavish homes and oversea vacations. just relax and enjoy, let yourself fall in love again.

Get a Merckx with Campagnolo, then you'll know. One that isn't bent, broken, dented, damaged...:)

ROFL, Me thinks your next project should be a barn!

Weisan, I am in the same boat. Just took in two bikes, a ti graveler and carbon race bike, which are duplicitous to my current stable. They were eBay catches at prices that I didn't think I'd win (e.g. the carbon is a $7.5K frameset new and had full Dura Ace and was $2500).

So I'm parting out some bikes to make room. All in good fun.

AngryScientist 05-13-2018 10:19 AM

haha, i too basically said "no more bikes..............unless i EVER see a Weigle pop up in my size", which is a substantially rare occurrence.

and then....

poof.

I have a feeling that a lot of us think that we are done building up new bikes, but always seem to find a new bike to build.

Are we building one in Colorado?

If yes, sign me up!

You have this "thing" about Colorado...so do I, especially as it gets closer to summer! Should get close to 100* by the end of the week here.

I asked my wife if she thought I was a bike hoarder last week, after we watched a terrifying episode of reality TV about hoarding.

She said, "No, the bikes you've built over the years are beautiful, and they don't interfere with our lives; they make our lives better."

Then she turned to me and said, "But you definitely don't need ANY more."

That said, I can't wait to see yours, Weisan. The swap out solution is in my future too, I imagine.

Just one? I need to consolidate 3 of em into one (or another 3 depending on what the builder comes back with $$-wise)
