It's a good looking groupset and most accounts appear to be that Campagnolo has done their homework on disc brakes.

Ah, sorry, now that I read your original post again, I see that I missed the point :-) It is a good looking groupset indeed (except the crankset which I don't really care for).

So did you lay out a deposit? If so, did they come back with a delivery time frame?

No need to, the disc road logic frames are regularly stocked through Q. The bike tumor article said they'll be available starting in December so I'll just have to keep checking after turkey day.

Some nice custom options brought forward in this thread, but, at $1k out the door (for me) on the Ritchey and a short wait for availability is a lot more palatable to me than $3k and 6-18 months for custom.... I already have a decent set of wheels waiting as CX bike spares (32mm DT Alloy) with 28mm road tires, and grabbed an 11-speed 105 (5800) groupset for cheap.

If I'm really enjoying the steel bike as the primary road miles machine I can put a deposit down on a custom and use the Ritchey until it arrives.

Solid plan. You'll feel a lot more comfortable putting out the custom funds after the proof of concept...and have a great starting point for some custom touches and geo tweaks.

My Ritchey Road Logic is so good that I have put myself in the 'q' for the disc model. Rides better for me than any of the other machines I've thrown my leg over in my life. Glad there are options for everyone!

A Salsa Colossal might fit the bill if you can find one 2nd hand or NOS. I have the titanium version and love it.

Level? Where did you get yer degree? They're supposed to be aligned coincident with the ST with the drive side crank arm downward. Geez....;)

That sure is a nice looking ride, either way....

Ritchey framesets are a good deal and, I sold more than a few Breakaways and RoadLogics, BUT....it would be tough for me to pick the Ritchey over a Gunnar..NOT trying to say anything about a 'made in usa' type stuff but a frame made in Waterford by the same dudes who make Waterford, same tubesets, for the same $ as the Ritchey..i donno, I like Gunnar..Get to pick a color too..and custom options..none for Ritchey.

I thought Condor would have a nice offering, and sure enough :)
