I have bought a Deda handlebar for my next build, and plan on using it with a 3TTT stem.
The shop made me attentive that the bar is 31.7 (a Deda thing it seems), and the stem is 31.8.
Am I in for trouble? Do I need to shim the inteface?

Nah you're good. No shim required.

Deda rounds the actual 31.75 handlebar measurement down to 31.7 while all other manufacturers round up to 31.8

I use a 3t pro arx stem with a Deda Zero100 handlebar with no issues.

Nope and nope. Is the shop worried? They shouldn't be. Remember when ITM hbars were 25.8? No big deal with 26mm stems.

The real number for oversized bars/stems is 1.25 inches. As noted above, that equates to 31.75 mm, so it is all in the conversion but the size is the same. Let's be honest, no one in the bike world would buy an inch-and-a-quarter bar/stem.
